Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born and raised in Canada. She is best known to Canadians for her role as a Canadian actor on the Freeform fantasy show Shadowhunters. In addition, she was a part of in Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea a' que te love. Also, she is a skilled professional model as well as a dancer. As a Montreal born native, she grew as a child in Texas and was always interested in performing. She's been learning diverse styles of dance since her early years. When she was 15 years old, she entered beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained fame when she participated in Nuestra Belleza Latina in 2008. In 2010, she began acting in a role as a receptionist on an Telemundo episode. The first film she appeared in was the action-drama Tattooed Love in 2015. Toubia was recognized for her performance on Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017. She also won in 2018.
