Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman of business. She is currently the president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and was raised as an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who was later a part owner of the Lakers and other sports companies. When her parents split in 1972 She began feeling emotionally abandoned. She joined the family business at the age of 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She also served as director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the duties of the vice president of the Lakers. Buss along with her five sisters and brothers, as well as their father who owned the Lakers and ruled them up to his death in 2013, took over this ownership by way of an estate. They each enjoyed the same the right to vote. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is co-owner of Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional business based out of Los Angeles.
