Andrea Bursten has Argentinean ancestry. The model is widowed because of her husband's death, Argentinean businessman and writer Federico Ribero. He passed away on June 17, 2013. The cancer of the lung was identified in the May 2011 diagnosis of this businessman. The condition has worsened since then and eventually passed away from the illness.
